Panda was our foundation bitch at Kinduhaven Papillons. Bred by Donna & Terry Hawkes of Dunrobin, ON she arrived at our home as a very young puppy in 1988. Throughout her lifetime of 17 1/2 years she endeared herself to everyone she met. Her sunny personality, happy attitude and love of life never wavered. We miss her terribly. Panda whelped 6 litters during her lifetime and produced numerous Champions. Here at Kinduhaven we have 5 Papillons who are direct descendants of her and we hope that they will be able to carry on her legacy. |

Tico was our foundation stud dog. Bred by Carolyn and Annette Smith (USA) he arrived at our home in Newfoundland at the age of 4 months. Tico was a sweet dog with a wonderful disposition. He earned his Championship title at a very early age and went on to win multiple group placements, , numerous Puppy in Group awards, 2 Best Puppy in Shows and several Group 1sts. He was awarded Best in Specialty at the Toy Dog Club of Newfoundland Club show in 1995. Tico sired 6 litters to 4 different bitches and produced numerous Champions. He was the # 2 Papillon in Canada in 1993 and in the top 5 for 1994 & 1995. Upon his retirement from the show ring Tico became a St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog, visiting nursing homes in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia right up to his passing. At the age of 7 he went to live with Thelma and Bob Peck, Kingston, NS, travelling with them to Florida during winter months. Their wonderful care of Tico is evident in his excellent health up to the time of his passing one month prior to his 15th birthday. He loved to visit his Kinduhaven family but made it very clear that his heart was now with Thelma and Bob. I'm forever grateful for their devotion to Tico in his declining years. Tico has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren carrying on his legacy. He shows prominently in the pedigrees of all of our current residents.
